Newark 16th September Wissington 16th September Bury 22nd September Cantley 24th September
Colm McKay, British Sugar's Head of Agriculture, said, "Sugar beet is once again proving a stable crop for arable farmers, with the 2009 crop progressing well following good early season growth and adequate rainfall to-date. However, with 50% of the season to go growers are encouraged to maximise yields by protecting the crop from late season diseases and ensure efficient harvesting when the campaign starts."
